2025 Year in Review

October 10, 2026

Better late than never. This is my 2025 camera roll. If you’re looking for more detail, reach out.

Jan – Mar

Yoseph and I did yoga in Union Square every Sunday, followed by a trip to the local dog park.

I interviewed a bunch of candidates for Imprint’s summer intern class.

I went skiing for the first time at Belleayre with friends. We spent the day on Deer Run and the evening arguing about Codenames rules in a cozy Airbnb.

I visited Barn West and contemplated a move to San Francisco.

I traveled to DC to see the cherry blossoms and didn’t see a single cherry blossom. I did see a beautiful pear tree.

I went back to Big Sur with Nate, Cooper, and Elliot to ride the stretch we’d missed on our San Francisco-to-Los Angeles trip.

Imprint held an offsite in San Francisco, where I saw all of my best friends.

Elliot and I attended the Met Gala via Citi Bike.

I’m lucky that home in Pennsylvania is an easy trip, and I often go back to see my family and my dogs.

I made a habit of getting coffee with friends. I’m intentional about keeping in touch, and my calendar is full of biannual catch-ups.

Toward the end of May, I moved onto 26K’s couch with Elliot, Varun, and Pranav as we prepared for our hike to Machu Picchu. Elliot and I flew to Lima, slept in a spa for two hours, then caught a 4 a.m. flight to Cusco.

We met up with the rest of our group in Cusco before setting out on the Salkantay route.

Back in Lima, we visited our friend Juan José, who helped Nate and me cross the Peru–Ecuador border in 2023. (If you haven’t heard that story yet, you should ask.) It was wonderful to meet his family in Villa El Salvador and introduce them to The Strokes.

I visited Greece with college friends. Lots of swimming, running, and good food. I love finding sunrises in new places.

Justin and I went to a soccer game at MetLife. I forget who played.

Jul – Sep

I biked to Boston during a week of downpours across Connecticut. Rain cut my first day short in Waterbury, 150 miles from Boston, so I rode the rest in one go the next day and crashed on Xander’s couch. I stopped for ice cream in Newtown and Dudley, both excellent.

I formally moved out of 26K and into Chelsea with Yoseph.

I started at Rippling and biked to work down the West Side Highway every morning.

I rarely missed a Friday morning ride around Central Park.

I sued my former landlord for $150, using AI for the entire filing.

Ashley and I spent a week hiking in Olympic National Park.

September was mostly football.

Oct – Dec

This stretch of my year in review is always lighter, even though these are some of my favorite months in New York. I love watching the leaves change.

Around October I began working on The Postcard Puzzle. I wrote the code by hand, the old-fashioned way, and remembered how much fun side projects can be. Riley’s are a great inspiration.

I had some wonderful fall bike rides. Elliot and I did a century around Central Park.

When I wasn’t heads-down on a project at work, I spent my time with friends and family.

I traveled to San Francisco once or twice and thought about moving there again. Not to spoil next year’s review, but I’m still in New York.
